Foreign embassies and consulates in the United States are authorized to issue visas. Appropriate documentation must be submitted to these authorities for a visa to be issued. After you have determined that a visa is required for your country of travel, forward your documentation to Elite International Documents, Inc. (EID). EID will submit visa documentation in proper order to the various embassies. EID removes the hectic process involved for our customers, by interacting with the embassies on your behalf.
In general, tourist visa are issued specifically for the purpose of travel for pleasure/vacation, while a “business” visa permits a traveler to engage in business-related activities.
Some countries do not require a visa for US citizens traveling as a tourist when their stay in country is less than 60 to 90 days. In these instances, the traveler only has to present a valid US passport.
Business visas are most often required for US Passport holders to do business activity in the country of your travel. Each country defines what activity is considered business related. Examples include, but not limited to: attending a business seminar, meeting, making a presentation, or negotiating and signing a contract to name a few.
Every country is different. Some have very rigid guidelines regarding the length of time to process while the speed with which others process visas is determined by their current workload. In many cases it is possible to pay an expediting fee in addition to the regular consular fee in order to process the visa more quickly.
Forms are also available at public offices like Post Offices,
